Understanding the Court Process and More!

10:30 am, Cape Cod Synagogue, 145 Winter Street, Hyannis, MA

Very few of us actually know what happens in the court process regarding crimes where there is a firearm involved. Does the disposition of the firearm depend on the type of crime? How does it impact future purchasing and carrying decisions regarding firearms? How much weight does the firearm carry when it comes to sentencing?

Michael Trudeau, our guest speaker for May, is the First Assistant District Attorney of the Cape and Islands and Chief Prosecutor for all its District Courts. He will clarify for our members the workings of the court system regarding gun crimes - the laws, trial process and issues such as plea bargaining and the end destination of guns confiscated in a crime.
